Hosting Files In Google

As we have already know that google is the boss of the Internet, so it provides its pupil with numerous awesome services. When I first knew about google I thought it was just a search engine. But I was wrong . Even now I fell I know a little thing about google.

Now you can guess how fantastic it is. Now, lets come to the topic . As we know while using blog we use different files, images, videos, etc. . We will be needing to upload them. But how? Blogger only allows images to host and we can use YouTube to host videos. But what about others?
This is a great problem isn't it? But don't worry as you will find the solution in this post. Today we shall be discussing how to actually host files in google. By this you can host files as much as you can and get the direct link. It is easy but little confusing.Lets proceed ahead;

Hosting Files;

We shall be hosting out files in google code. To do so follow below steps;
  • Then you will be provides with a form. Fill the form properly. Below are some guidelines to fill the form correctly;
  1. Enter a project name consisting all lower case letters.
  2. Enter the project summary and description as your wish.
  3. Select any version control system and your licence.
  4. Enter the labels that matches to your project and then click on Create Project.
  • Now, your project has been created. After doing so, click on downloads from the navbar of the project home.
  • Then click on New Download like in the preview above.
  • Enter the credentials for the summary,description,labels properly.
  • Then click on "Choose File" button.
  • Browse through the file you want to host in google. The maximum size of the file allowed to upload as a single download is 200 MB.
  • Once you have selected the file and filled other information click on Submit File.
  • Now, wait for the file to be uploaded. Once uploaded, you will be redirected to the Download Tabs.
  • There you will see your download files list. Click on download sign on the left side of your file name.
  • Right click on it and select "Copy Link Address".
Now, you have got the direct link to your file. Use it wherever you would like.
If you would like to host another file, you don't need to create another project. You can click on Create A New download directly from the download tab and thus host another file.
