A very delighting fact is that this search engine uses the same mechanism as google itself as it is powered by blogger. So that we can be assured that the other people will get relevant results. Adding a custom search engine is easy. Just follow the steps below;

1. Creating The Search Box;

Before you add the search box, you will need to create one. It is easy,but for better understanding I have kept images as well. Se below;

• Go to google custom search engine.
• There click on Create A Custom Search Engine.
• You will be provided with a form. Fill up with correct credentials;

1. In the form you can add multiple sites to search if you want. If not enter your blog URL only.
2. English is the universal language. So, I suggest you to choose it. But if your blog has readers from a specific country you can choose the language of the country.
3. After you are done click on "Create" button.

• After you click on Create you will redirected to the page where you will get your box code.

• Copy the unique code given among the whole code. That unique code is the code of your search box. Remember, you just need to copy the code like in the above image.

After you have successfully got the unique code we can move to next step. Now, we will add it in our blog. See the below steps;

• In the above code replace;

1. "http://bloggersmasher.blogspot.com/p/search-results.html" with the URL of your blank page where you want the search results to appear. If you don't have any blank page then create a new page by going to Dashboard>Pages>Create A New Page. Don't write anything there and publish it.
2. "Your Unique Id" with your unique code you got it previous step.

Now, copy the code replaced by your credentials.

3. Adding Search Box To Blog;

You can keep this search to whatever place you desire. Let's know the way to add it to your blog. Follow below steps;

• Go to dashboard>Layout.
• Click on Add A Gadget and choose Html/Javascript.
• Paste the code you got in step-2.
• Click on save and you are done.

Hosting Files In Google

As we have already know that google is the boss of the Internet, so it provides its pupil with numerous awesome services. When I first knew about google I thought it was just a search engine. But I was wrong . Even now I fell I know a little thing about google.

Now you can guess how fantastic it is. Now, lets come to the topic . As we know while using blog we use different files, images, videos, etc. . We will be needing to upload them. But how? Blogger only allows images to host and we can use YouTube to host videos. But what about others?
This is a great problem isn't it? But don't worry as you will find the solution in this post. Today we shall be discussing how to actually host files in google. By this you can host files as much as you can and get the direct link. It is easy but little confusing.Lets proceed ahead;

Hosting Files;

We shall be hosting out files in google code. To do so follow below steps;

• Go to code.google.com .
• Click on Create A New Project;

• Then you will be provides with a form. Fill the form properly. Below are some guidelines to fill the form correctly;

1. Enter a project name consisting all lower case letters.
2. Enter the project summary and description as your wish.
3. Select any version control system and your licence.
4. Enter the labels that matches to your project and then click on Create Project.

• Now, your project has been created. After doing so, click on downloads from the navbar of the project home.

• Then click on New Download like in the preview above.
• Enter the credentials for the summary,description,labels properly.
• Then click on "Choose File" button.

• Browse through the file you want to host in google. The maximum size of the file allowed to upload as a single download is 200 MB.
• Once you have selected the file and filled other information click on Submit File.
• Now, wait for the file to be uploaded. Once uploaded, you will be redirected to the Download Tabs.
• There you will see your download files list. Click on download sign on the left side of your file name.

• Right click on it and select "Copy Link Address".

Now, you have got the direct link to your file. Use it wherever you would like.

If you would like to host another file, you don't need to create another project. You can click on Create A New download directly from the download tab and thus host another file.

Now, your site is properly submitted to google. Give google some time (hardly up to 1 week) and after that search your site. You can find that your site is already listed in google.

NOTE; While entering the URL type in your homepage URL. After you submit your site once there's no need to submit again as the spiders will crawl through each and every post and pages.

Troubleshoot Method;

After you submitted your site also if you cannot find it in google search results page after a long time we have to understand that google's spider has failed to crawl. So now we will use the troubleshoot method. In this method we will be submitting the sitemap. Follow below steps;

• Sign in to your google webmaster tools.
• Then click on your site.
• Click on optimization on the left side.
• There click on sitemaps>Add/Test Sitemaps.
• Click on it and type in your sitemap endings.
• The site map of every blogger is "http://yourblogurl.blogspot.com/sitemap.xml"
• So you just  need to type "sitemap.xml" because your URL is already there.
• But if your site isn't a blog then type in the sitemap given by your host.
